When you use our services, agree a contract with a supplier or talk to us about services we offer we may share your information with the third parties below. If you would like to know who your information has been shared with in the course of arranging your contracts, then you can request this information at any time.
We may choose to sell, transfer or merge parts of our business or our assets to another company, or we may choose to merge or buy new businesses to add to our own. If this happens then the new corporate business will have the same right to use your data as set out in this privacy notice.
When arranging your energy supply we will provide data to one or more brokers or energy suppliers (eg. British Gas, Scottish Power, Opus) in order to provide a quote and ultimately to arrange an energy contract for you.
When arranging your insurance policy, we may provide data to one or more insurers, brokers or underwriters (eg. LV, Ageas, Chapman & Stacey) in order to provide a quote, introduce you to a specialist provider (life insurance, motor insurance), ensure that an insurance policy covers your needs or ultimately to arrange an insurance policy for you.
When arranging a loan or other financial services product, we may provide data to brokers, lenders, banking institutions or intermediaries via our Think App Platform who specialize in and offer loans for business purposes in order to provide you with offers of products suitable to meet your requirements and ultimately to arrange a business loan for you.
When arranging your telecommunications policy, we may provide data to one or more brokers or telecoms providers (eg. Sky UK Ltd, Daisy, Focus, BT) in order to provide a quote, confirm the technical aspects of your line set up and ultimately to arrange a telecoms contract for you.
We have agreements with partners who can’t provide switching services for businesses and so will refer customer to us to complete customer’s requests. If you have been passed to us via a partner, we will share information about your sale back to the partner in order to pay their referral fee.
Also to help find the financial product or service you have told us you would like to apply for, and to send your marketing communications if you gave them your consent to this. Depending upon the product or service you are searching for, Our Partners comprise financial services firms (including lenders and brokers) in the sectors described above.

In order to provide our services, we use the services of other third-party companies in order to maximise the probability of your contract going live, or because we have a legal requirement to adhere to eg. sanctions searches and anti-money laundering legislation.
All third parties are strictly forbidden from using your data for any purpose other than those disclosed above, all third parties are rigorously checked out before sharing information with them and are held to the highest standards once they are working for us.

Some of these third parties are not based in the UK or EU, where that is the case we have put in place contracts that ensure they protect your data to the same standards as the UK and EU.
An automated decision is one where a computer or system is used to assess the information you provide to make a decision about you. We do not make automated decisions about you; however, Our Partners may do this when we share your personal information with them so that they can make an assessment of your eligibility for Our Service. An example of this is the soft search that Our Partners will carry out upon you if you make an application for a loan or credit card.
(Note: a “soft” credit search helps Our Partner to decide whether or not they may be able to lend money to you. Unlike a “hard” credit search, a soft search is recorded on your credit file, but only you rather than any other lender will be able to see it. A soft search does not therefore affect your credit rating.)
As a result, you have the right to ask Our Partners that they do not make a final decision based solely on automated means. You can also object to the automated decision and ask that a person reviews it. If you ask us, we can tell you which of Our Partners has made an automated decision about you. To exercise this right, you will then need to contact Our Partners directly.

As your contract ends and you no longer wish to use our services, we may be required to keep your data for up to 10 years after you stop being a customer. During that time, we could use your data for the following processes:
