According to recent research conducted by MyLegalAdviser.co.uk, 60% of UK SME law firms are hiding away from £7.5 billion worth of business due to a lack of or no online presence.
Between businesses and consumers in the UK, a grand £21 billion is spent a year on legal services with 37% of lawsuits being secured online.
The research highlighted that each year there are over 20 million online searches for legal services however, 2,707 law firms cannot be found online due to having no website.
The Solicitors Regulation Authority’s upcoming ‘Looking to the Future’ programme will request law firms to make their pricing public online to help customers. But with a website comes marketing and together they can both be expensive deducting thousands of pounds to law firms cash flow.
CEO of MyLegalAdviser, Alex Boothman comments;
“It is difficult to pinpoint why so many law firms haven’t adopted an online presence as yet but that shouldn’t stop them from taking advantage of the huge new business opportunities that can be found online.”
