Entrepreneurs from more than 20 small and medium sized businesses across the North West will be pitching for investment to Head of Businesscomparison.com, Philip Brennan, at a Dragon’s Den style venture funding event.
Philip is one of a panel of experts including VCs, business angels, advisors and fund managers who will offer their feedback, commercial insight and funding recommendations to the fledgling businesses. He will be providing a valuable insight into funding issues for small and medium-sized businesses as well as specialist Fintech knowledge and recent experience of starting up a new business in the North West. The unique day-long session is being held at the ProlificNorthLive event at the Emirates Old Trafford on 2nd February.
Other panellists alongside Philip include the Chief Executive and Founder of the Manchester Tech Trust, Peter Lusty and renowned investment fund manager Nicola Horlick from the new acclaimed crowd-funding platform Money & Co.
The ambitious start-ups will be invited to make ‘elevator-style’ pitches to the panel in a bid to raise investment of over £100,000 for their development and growth.

ProlificNorthLive attendees will be able to join any of the workshops and watch pitches throughout the day at the venue’s 80-seater theatre space. The audience will be composed of dozens of financiers and VCs from across the North and beyond, along with successful creative and related industries entrepreneurs who have ‘done it’. It’s hoped that several hundred interested investors will be keen to hear from innovative and ambitious creative industries companies who are seeking to grow rapidly.
