Josef Charlesworth is a senior marketing professional with over a decade of experience delivering growth and innovation across the telecommunications, tech, and financial services sectors. His core expertise lies in digital marketing strategy, performance media, customer experience, and marketing technology.

Before joining BusinessComparison, Josef was Head of Digital Marketing at numobile, a digital-first telco based in Sydney, Australia. There, he led the transformation of the company’s go-to-market strategy—growing the business from a SIM and refurbished device retailer into a subscription-based mobile provider. He oversaw end-to-end media investment across paid social, SEM, affiliates, content, and programmatic. Josef also led the marketing workstream for the company’s shift into device leasing, managed white-label partnerships (including a 2023 launch with Kogan), and played a key role in shaping the digital customer journey in collaboration with product, compliance, and engineering teams.

From acquisition strategy and analytics to customer experience and product launches, Josef brings a comprehensive and hands-on perspective to how telcos grow, and how they can better serve the people they’re trying to reach.

Before numobile, Josef worked at Publicis agency Spark Foundry, where he worked with well know Australian brands such as NRMA, TAL, Belong Broadband, and AustralianSuper. Outside of digital media buying, his projects ranged from customer journey mapping and martech implementation to marketing mix modelling and Google Analytics 360 integration.
