From Black Friday to Boxing Day, every mobile network runs a sale. Most of the deals you'll see advertised are for personal contracts, though, and the business offers that do appear work differently. They're priced without VAT, often run for 24 or 36 months, and usually cover only part of the term with a discount.
This guide covers the whole festive season, from Black Friday and Cyber Monday through Christmas and Boxing Day. It shows what business mobile providers have offered in previous years and what a festive discount is worth after price rises, so you can decide when to buy.
What You Need To Know About Business Mobile Deals
Black Friday 2026 is Friday 27 November, Cyber Monday is 30 November, and Boxing Day is Saturday 26 December. That's a 30-day window, and business offers rarely cover all of it.
Business-specific festive deals are thinner than consumer ones. Vodafone Business runs dedicated Black Friday offers, but most networks' Christmas and Boxing Day sales are aimed at personal customers.
Business prices are shown ex VAT. If your business isn't VAT-registered, add 20% to every price you see.
Price rises arrive quickly. Most networks add a fixed amount each April, so a contract signed in late November gets its first rise after about 4 months.
Multiple lines multiply everything. A £2.09 annual rise across 5 SIMs is £10.45 a month more from the first April.
Black Friday isn't the only good time to buy. Three Business ran SIM-only savings of up to £120 ex VAT until 11 November 2026, and O2 has run January offers for small businesses.
When Do Festive Mobile Deals for Businesses Run?
The festive sales season runs from Black Friday on Friday 27 November 2026 to Boxing Day on Saturday 26 December 2026. In practice, mobile offers start earlier and some run into January.
Sale event | 2026 date | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
Black Friday | Friday 27 November | The main business sale. Vodafone Business has confirmed its business SIM-only deals start this day |
Cyber Monday | Monday 30 November | Vodafone Business's announced end date for its Black Friday SIM-only deals |
Christmas | Friday 25 December | Black Friday offers that run into December, plus consumer-focused winter sales |
Boxing Day | Saturday 26 December | Mostly consumer sales; business-specific Boxing Day offers are rare |
January sales | From early January 2027 | Networks have run small business offers in January in previous years |
How long previous festive offers lasted:
Provider | Offer | Window |
|---|---|---|
O2 (small business) | Black Friday 2022 handset and SIM-only deals | Until 7 December 2022 |
O2 (small business) | January 2024 multi-save offer | 4 January to 7 February 2024 |
Three (consumer) | Black Friday 2025 sale | 14 November to 1 December 2025 |
Vodafone Business | Black Friday 2026 SIM-only deals (announced) | 27 to 30 November 2026 |
The result is that the best business offers cluster around Black Friday and the January sales, not Christmas itself. If your contract ends in December, start comparing in early November.

What Did Networks Offer in Previous Festive Sales?
Past offers are the best guide to what's likely this year. Here's what we could confirm from networks' own pages and announcements.
Year | Provider | Offer |
|---|---|---|
2025 | Vodafone Business | Black Friday and Cyber Monday business SIM-only deals ran |
2025 | Three | Black Friday sale |
2024 | O2 | Black Friday sale |
January 2024 | O2 (small business) | £5 a month off per device when buying 2 to 9 handsets or tablets |
2022 | O2 (small business) | Unlimited data SIM at 3 months half price (£12, then £24 a month); iPhone 14 from £19 a month for 6 months |
Few of the big festive sales included business customers at all. Networks put most of their Black Friday and Boxing Day marketing behind personal contracts, and run business offers separately, often through business sales teams or resellers rather than headline campaigns.
How Do Business Mobile Deals Differ From Personal Deals?
A business mobile deal can look like the personal offers advertised on Black Friday, but five differences change what you'll pay.
Business Prices Are Shown Ex VAT
Networks publish business mobile prices without the 20% VAT. A VAT-registered business can usually reclaim it, so the ex VAT price is your real cost. If you're not VAT-registered, you pay the VAT and can't get it back.
Price excluding VAT | Price including VAT |
|---|---|
£13.33 a month | £16.00 a month |
£18.33 a month | £22.00 a month |
£21.66 a month | £25.99 a month |
£29.17 a month | £35.00 a month |
The prices above are Vodafone Business SIM-only plans as listed on 22 October 2026.
SIM-Only and Handset Deals Are Priced Differently
A SIM-only deal covers airtime: calls, texts and data. A handset deal adds the cost of the phone, usually spread across 24 or 36 months. Festive handset discounts often take money off the device rather than the airtime, so compare the total cost of the phone plus the plan, not the monthly figure alone. If you already own handsets that work well, a SIM-only deal is usually the cheaper route.
Contract Lengths
Business SIM-only plans typically run for 12, 24 or 36 months, and some networks offer rolling monthly plans. Vodafone Business lists 30-day, 12, 24 and 36-month options; Three Business lists 1, 12 and 24-month SIM plans.
Ofcom's rules cap contracts at 24 months for small businesses with 10 or fewer employees or volunteers, unless the business expressly agrees otherwise. A 36-month deal means signing a waiver. Vodafone's waiver page lists the protections small businesses can give up, including the 24-month limit.
Mid-Contract Price Rises
Since January 2025, Ofcom has banned inflation-linked and percentage-based price rises in new contracts for consumers and small businesses. Networks still raise prices, but by a fixed amount stated when you sign up.
Network | Annual rise per line | When |
|---|---|---|
Vodafone Business | About £2.08 to £2.09 on SIM-only plans | Every 1 April |
EE Business | £1.50 on SIM-only; £3 on handset plans (plans from 19 November 2024) | 31 March 2026, then annually |
Three Business | £0.50, £0.75 or £1.50, depending on the plan's price band | Every April, from your bill date |
O2 Business | Check your contract summary | Every April |
Multiple Lines and Multi-Line Discounts
Most businesses buy more than one line, so every price and every rise is multiplied. Some networks reward that: Vodafone's Multibuy SIM offer gives a discount when businesses with fewer than 10 employees buy up to 9 SIMs on 24-month plans, and O2 has run per-device discounts for small businesses buying 2 to 9 handsets or tablets.
Tax Treatment
A mobile phone or SIM card you provide to an employee is exempt from benefit-in-kind reporting if it's one phone or SIM per employee and the contract is between your business and the network. Salary sacrifice arrangements must still be reported. That's a reason to put festive deals in the business's name rather than an employee's.
What Is the Cheapest Time To Buy a Business Mobile?
Black Friday brings the most business-specific offers, while Boxing Day sales are mostly for personal customers, and strong business deals appear outside both.
Retail evidence is sobering. Which? found that 94% of the products it analysed from Black Friday 2024 were the same price or cheaper at other times of the year (Which?, November 2025). That covered tech and home products, not mobile contracts, but the lesson carries over.
Business offers run outside the festive season. Three Business offered SIM-only savings of £48 to £120 ex VAT on 24-month plans until 11 November 2026. Vodafone Business ran 30% off its 30GB SIM (£12.83 instead of £18.33 ex VAT) for existing small business customers adding a line, from 7 to 31 October 2026.
Christmas and Boxing Day sales target personal customers. Vodafone's winter sale announcements in December 2022, December 2024 and December 2025, and its January sale announcements in 2025 and 2026, didn't mention business offers (Vodafone newsroom).
January can beat December for small businesses. O2 ran a £5 a month per device discount for small businesses buying 2 to 9 handsets or tablets from 4 January to 7 February 2024.
Buy when your contract ends, and use the festive sales as a prompt to compare rather than a deadline. If your contract ends in December, Black Friday offers are the ones most likely to include business lines.
Should Your Business Buy a Festive Mobile Deal?
Your situation | Should you buy? | Why it works | Limitations |
|---|---|---|---|
Contracts end between November and February | Yes, compare now | You can switch without exit fees and catch Black Friday and January offers | Festive discounts usually cover only part of the term |
Phones still work well, contract ending | Yes, look at SIM-only | Cheapest way to cut monthly costs | Handset upgrades come later at full price |
Need new handsets for staff | Compare handset deals carefully | Festive offers often discount devices | Check total phone plus plan cost over 24 or 36 months |
In contract for 6 months or more | Usually not | Exit fees often wipe out the discount | Ask your network to match a deal at renewal instead |
Adding lines for new starters | Check existing-customer offers | Networks sometimes discount extra lines | Offers may be online-only or limited to one line |
Not VAT-registered | Compare carefully | Business plans can still beat personal ones | Add 20% to every business price before comparing |
Is Christmas a Good Time To Switch Business Mobile Network?
It can be, with planning. Switching networks with a PAC (porting authorisation code) keeps your numbers and usually completes the next working day, so there's little downtime. The risk is timing: if something goes wrong between Christmas Eve and the New Year, support teams are stretched, and staff may be away.
In practice, order in early December and schedule the switch for a working day when someone can check every line, or wait until the first week of January.
FAQs on Festive Business Mobile Deals
Do mobile networks run Black Friday deals for businesses?
Some do. Vodafone Business runs dedicated Black Friday business SIM-only deals and has confirmed 27 to 30 November 2026 for this year's. O2 has run small business Black Friday offers in previous years, but most networks focus their festive sales on personal contracts.
Are there Cyber Monday business mobile deals?
Yes, usually as part of the Black Friday sale. Vodafone Business's 2026 business SIM-only deals are due to run until Cyber Monday, 30 November 2026.
Are there Christmas or Boxing Day business phone deals?
Rarely as business-specific offers. Black Friday business deals sometimes run into December, and networks have run small business offers in the January sales, but Christmas and Boxing Day campaigns mostly target personal customers.
Are business mobile prices shown with or without VAT?
Without VAT. Add 20% if your business isn't VAT-registered.
Is a SIM-only or handset deal better value?
SIM-only, if your phones still work well. Handset deals bundle the device cost into the monthly price, so compare the total cost of the phone and plan against buying the phone outright with a SIM-only plan.
Can I get a festive deal as an existing business customer?
Sometimes. Most headline offers are for new customers, but networks do run existing-customer deals: Vodafone Business offered existing small business customers 30% off an additional 30GB line in October 2026. You can also ask your network to match a deal when your contract ends.
Will my business mobile price go up mid-contract?
Probably, but by a fixed amount. Since 17 January 2025, rises in new small business contracts must be stated in pounds and pence. Vodafone Business adds about £2.09 a month per SIM each April, EE Business £1.50 on SIM-only and £3 on handset plans, and Three Business £0.50 to £1.50 depending on the plan.
How long are business mobile contracts?
Usually 12, 24 or 36 months, with some rolling monthly options. Small businesses with 10 or fewer staff must actively agree to anything longer than 24 months.
Can I keep my business numbers if I switch network?
Yes. Ask your current network for a PAC (porting authorisation code) and give it to your new network, which moves your number across.
Are business mobile phones a taxable benefit for employees?
Not if you provide one phone or SIM per employee and the contract is in your business's name. Salary sacrifice arrangements still have to be reported.
Our Conclusion
The festive season is a good prompt to compare business mobile deals, but the best time to buy is still when your contracts end.
If your contracts end between November and February, compare Black Friday offers on total contract cost across every line, including April price rises.
If your phones still work well, a SIM-only deal is usually the cheapest festive buy.
If you're mid-contract, wait and ask your network to match a deal at renewal.
If you're waiting for Boxing Day, don't: business-specific offers cluster around Black Friday and the January sales, not Christmas.
